Description:

RIDING HOLIDAYS IN ROYAL BERKSHIRE, AN AREA OF OUTSTANDING NATURAL BEAUTY

Herons Farm is the sort of place where time has stood still, offering peace and tranquility.
The Large 18th century farmhouse offers a cosy lifestyle with delicious home cooking. We have a heated outdoor swimming pool which is secluded within a walled garden, plus lawns and old fashioned flower beds.
Herons is a working model farm, with cattle and horses. We have a traditional mews stable complex, a 17th century tithe barn, a listed octagonal barn, full size all-weather arenas (25m x 50m & 40m x 60m), plus extra schooling areas, jumping paddocks and cross country course. The onsite parkland hacking has outstanding views coupled with the woodland and extensive bridleways close by, you will find us hard to beat.
Adult Holidays Full / Half Board / B&B (see weblsite for price list)
For non-riders who enjoy log fires, animals, walking, swimming, a beautiful location, private picnic areas with golf etc. close by, this is the place for you.

Unaccompanied Dream Farm Holidays for 7 -16 year olds
Activity breaks through all school holidays and some weekends
Lots of riding, pony care and outdoor fun
Good home-cooked food and large airy farmhouse accommodation
Qualified instruction and adult supervision
ABRS approved

A typical day consists of feeding and grooming the horses and ponies, tacking up, and about 3 hours riding - all under instruction. We mix all this up with swimming, games, films, picnics, barbecues, ball games and walks, so the day and evening are as full as you want them to be. Those looking for a less energetic day may relax instead - it's your holiday: just tell us what you want.

We can accept mixed abilities and ages. Beginners will not ride with the more experienced, and some of the social activities will be split by age.
