Description:
The visitor centre at Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve is known as The Jeffery Harrison Visitor Centre in recognition of Jeffery Harrison, the orginal 'architect' of the nature reserve. It houses displays illustrating the prehistory and history of the site, the creation of the reserves, it's habitats and the wildlife which they support.
There are touch-tables where visitors can handle all sorts of 'treasures' such as nests, feathers, and thirty thousand year-old mammoth teeth. Or you can bring in your own finds and see them projected onto a microscope screen.
The building also contains toilets and refreshments, and there is a picnic area nearby.
