The wonderful variety of habitats make Sydlings Copse in east Oxon one of the best botanical sites in the Midlands – over 400 plant species have been recorded here. Reedbed, fen, a stream, ancient woodland, heath, limestone grassland and sandy soil are all packed into the steep valley.


The reserve is teeming with bird and insect life. Mammals such as badgers, deer, foxes and bats also make their homes here.
