Rye Heritage Centre
Housing the Tourist Information Centre, the Heritage Centre also boasts a penny slot exhibition – once a popular feature at seaside resorts and piers across Britain - as well as the Rye Town Model which takes you on a brief historic tour of the town illustrated through lights and sound.

Rye Castle Museum and the Ypres Tower
This private museum is housed in two separate buildings. The Ypres Tower, is a medieval fortification built as a fort in 1250, and since used as a private residence, a prison and a mortuary. Today it displays smuggling memorabilia, ironwork, medieval pottery and the unique Romney Marsh Sheep.  In the other half of the museum on East street, you'll see the old fire engine, and displays of Rye's famed pottery such as the Sussex Pig. You'll also find relics of Rye's days as a Cinque Port such as uniforms and ship models.

Rye Art Gallery

Lamb House
An early 18th Century House, which was home to Henry James and E.F. Benson (Mapp and Lucia series). The museum now houses some of Henry James's personal belongings.

St. Mary the Virgin, Rye Parish Church and Tower
900 year-old church, with the oldest church turret clock in the country.  Open daily.  Climb the tower to see the clock mechanism, bells, and outstanding views of Rye and the surrounding countryside.

Cinque Ports Pottery
Founded in 1397, the pottery is very part of Rye’s history. A public viewing gallery, enables visitors to watch the whole process of a working pottery.

Rye Festivals
