From Alton there is plenty of opportunity to cycle on or off road or to discover family cycle trails.
Alton Off-road Cycle Trail. This trail is easily accessible from Alton. It uses tracks through Chawton Park Wood and continues mainly off road to Bentworth village. Undulating tracks lead the trail through Wivelrod, Beech, Ackender Wood and the outskirts of Alton, before heading back to the start.
Lindford to Alice Holt Forest. This 6.5 mile (10km) route takes you from the village of Lindford to the Alice Holt Forest Visitor Centre where you can have a well earned picnic.
Alice Holt Forest provides lots of opportunity for cycling. There’s a cycle hire shop and family cycle trails.
