The many quiet countryside roads on the island make it very good for cycling. As well as the roads there is a considerable network of designated cycle tracks and routes as well as miles of public bridleways for those who like off road cycling.
Wootton to Newport Cycleway
Cycleway follows the old rail line from Station Road, Wootton until Crematorium then follows side of A3054 on shared path until Mews Lane. From there either turn left & follow the old rail track parallel with the main road and emerge from the tunnel into the car park of the Riverside Centre or cycle on main road for 150m and turn right into Mountbatten Centre.

There is no cycle hire available in Wootton at present but Wight Offroad offer cycle hire with delivery and pick-up to anywhere on the island.
