Bewl Water , the southeast’s largest lake, offers a host of outdoor activities. Close by lies Bedgebury National Pinetum, where you can play a family game of hide and seek amongst the 7,000 conifers, the largest single collection in the world. The romantic well-loved ruins of the14th century moated Scotney Castle provide the perfect backdrop for a picnic, as do the picturesque ruins of Bayham Abbey, whilst Lamberhurst Vineyard offers the opportunity to learn about fine English winemaking and enjoy wholesome food at the bistro. Marle Place Gardens, amongst the most enchanting in Kent, features a range of themed garden rooms, including Edwardian, Elizabethan and Italianate plants. And lastly, is the wonder of the Weald itself, home to the other six and the ideal setting for walks, bike rides, watching wildlife or indulging in landscape photography
