Explore Scotney Castle Garden and Estate, one of England’s most romantic gardens set around the ruins of a 14th century castle, before walking across the Estate on the marked footpaths for Kilndown. If you set off in time for lunch, you can stop at The Globe & Rainbow in Kilndown (although its worth phoning in advance to check they are open for lunch that day Tel: 01892 890803). You can sit and look over the pretty village pond before returning across the Estate to Scotney.
Picnic at Bedgebury National Pinetum with its stunning collection of conifers interspersed with rare & unusual deciduous trees set in beautiful parkland of lakes, streams and rolling hills.
