Why Romney Marsh?
Formed over thousands of years of coastal change, the Romney Marsh is a unique area in the southeast. It has a colourful history; invasion, threatened attacks and smuggling. It is also home to a fine collection of rural churches that, if you choose to explore them, will lead you around the corners of the marsh.

Activities to enjoy in Romney Marsh
The Romney Marsh, with its 100 square miles of sheep pastures and quiet country lanes has hundreds of miles of footpaths and many bridleways, making it easy to organise walking or cycling routes to suit you.
Romney Marsh is one of the most magical regions in England to cycle with a family. The flat quiet lanes with numerous church towers dotting the wide open landscape makes this far reach of Kent an ideal place to bring your bike and explore. It is a wonderful place to see wildlife from the creatures found among the drainage ditches of the Marsh to the birds that are attracted to this southerly part of Britain.
