Activities to enjoy in The Blean

The best way to experience the magical atmosphere of The Blean’s unspoilt woodland is to explore the 120 miles of public rights of way. You could spot the rare heath fritillary butterfly in June or July, hear the nightingales singing in early summer, or stumble across medieval wood banks and bronze age barrows.

Walk in the woods, bring or hire a bicycle; whichever way you decide to explore, there are many attractive local villages to discover with a wealth of traditional pubs and shops selling local produce.
