Chad Ballooning
Chad Ballooning is a small, independently run, hot air ballooning business flying from Borde Hill, Hickstead Hotel, Upper Beeding, Shoreham, Barcombe and other places in mid Sussex. The balloon only carries up to eight passengers and flights are planned for at least an hour. In-flight photos are included and after landing, we celebrate with champagne and a light snack. Gift vouchers are great presents for many occasions.
Good Run Guide
The Good Run Guide has a database of scenic and interesting running routes for all standards of runners. All the runs are accompanied by detailed maps and guides, together with time schedules, calorie counters and even a 3D fly-through of each route.
Insider Tours
Bird watching on the marshes; charcoal making; aromatic barbeques; steam train journeys; cosy pubs and local beer; castles and cathedrals; cobblestone streets; English breakfasts; woodland walks; coastal fishing villages; horse-riding; live folk music; bell-ringing and more… One and a half hours by train from London, the Weald of Kent lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (A.O.N.B) – thus protecting its rolling hills, small irregular fields, woods, shaws and hedges, scattered farmsteads and sunken lanes. The Weald boasts the largest area of semi-natural ancient woodland in the country. In this woodland is the intense and beautifully managed Pond Wood Farm, run by Frankie and Graham Woodgate. Their tours of the villages, homes and culture of the Wealden countryside follow the seasons and traditions of the area.
Marwell Activity Centre
The Centre is set in a rural secluded area 7 miles south of Winchester with ponds, streams, pastures, playing fields, oaks and conifers. The total area comprises some 65 acres giving scope for many outdoor pursuits such as camping, canoeing, shooting, archery, ropes courses, climbing, dune buggies, and paintball and quad bikes. One area of success has been the weekly Day Camps for children aged 8-15 years, our Junior, Middle and Senior Birthday Parties. Activity club also during the summer-term for children under the supervision of qualified instructors. The centre is also able to offer facilities to many other groups including Schools, Scouts, Guides and Youth organisations.
