Hacking with a difference
Hacking With a Difference is a unique riding experience, it is the sole riding centre in the UK dedicated to caring for ex-racehorses. It is not a charity, but a sanctuary for around 25 horses at any one time. Because it is not a charity, the horses earn their own keep from being ridden.Painshill farm is situated in magnificent countryside on the southern slopes of Hascombe Hill, a few miles from Guildford, which in itself is only 30 miles from London. This spectacular area offers endless riding on the sandy North Downs and the beautiful farmland to the south. Importantly, we do not have to ride on roads, and generally our groups are split into no more than six riders of similar abilities. Should you wish to stay for a few days we can arrange accommodation at a variety of local venues to suit both taste and pocket. Indeed, we can arrange for you to entertain guests or organise a corporate event, as we are surrounded by traditional country pubs who can provide anything from a private dining room with silver service to just simply good home cooked food. The stables are operated in a friendly and relaxed manner, the atmosphere is pleasant and we are open all year round.
