Stride for life
Stride for Life is a national series of walks that last year raised over £600,000.
This year there are three Stride for Life events taking part in Kent, one at Knole Park, November 11th 2004. This will be a 6.5k walk amongst the Autumnal woodland and wild deer. Starting at 11am from below Webbs Alley, nearly 300 participants are expected to help raise vital funds for research into breast cancer. A fun day out for all the family Stride for Life at Shorn Country Park, on October 24th is a 10k walk amongst the sculpted woodland of Shorn, extending out through the grounds of Cobham Hall, taking in Cobham village and returning via Ashepbank Woods. Again over 300 participants are expected to this event. A shorter route will be available for the disabled and those with young families.
