Go Green in the South East

When planning your holiday ‘go green’ and make the most of the many environmentally friendly places to stay and visit in the South East.

In response to increasing consumer awareness of and demand for ‘environmentally friendly’ or ‘sustainable’ products, TSE has delivered a distinct green accreditation pilot programme for tourism businesses. The Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS) addressed a range of measures that analyse the environmental performance of the tourism sector. The list below features members of the scheme, operating in a way which protects the environment. The scheme acknowledges businesses whose practices include the conservation of energy and water, buying local produce, encouraging wildlife in their gardens and providing information on what to see in the area nearby. The businesses' efforts to operate in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way are graded with Bronze, Silver or Gold – they have been judged against set criteria. Look out for the logos above that identify GTBS winners where accommodation is publicised. For the full list of GTBS award winners please follow the link below.
