Newbury is Racecourse of the Year – Second Year Running

Newbury Racecourse has scooped one of the racing industry’s most prestigious awards – for the second year running

Newbury won the award in 2004 after being voted top racecourse in the UK by the Association’s 6,800 members, based on their experiences from visiting the country’s 59 racecourses. “It has been an amazing year for everyone at Newbury with the celebration of our centenary - and this just about tops it all off,” says Mark Kershaw, managing director at Newbury Racecourse. “We have a wonderful team at Newbury with everyone committed to ensuring all of our visitors enjoy a great day’s racing. To have our efforts acknowledged for the second year in succession is a reward for all the hard work we have put in.” It is the first time any UK racecourse has received the award two years in succession
