Celebrate the taste!

Come and celebrate the very best tastes of the south east this May Day Bank Holiday weekend at the Weald & Downland Open Air Museum in Singleton, near Chichester, West Sussex. England’s leading museum of historic buildings and traditional rural life will be hosting its ever-popular Food Fair in and among the historic buildings on its beautiful 50 acre downland site.

This is a unique partnership between the Forestry Commission, National Trust, English Heritage, Southern Water, the High Weald AONB, Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and a range of private entrepreneurs to develop a sustainable rural tourism destination on the Kent/Sussex border, co-ordinated by the Forestry Commission

OPEN HOUSE ON MOTHERING SUNDAY

England’s leading museum of historic buildings will be starting the 2006 season with an ‘Open House’ this Mothering Sunday, 26 March. The Weald & Downland Open Air Museum at Singleton, near Chichester, West Sussex, will be opening its doors to welcome visitors old and new with a special £1 entry offer. In addition, the Museum will continue its long tradition of presenting mothers and grandmothers visiting with their children and grandchildren with a complimentary bunch of daffodils.
