A Special Spring Day at the Weald & Downland Open Air Museum, Sunday 26 March 2006 England’s leading museum of historic buildings will be starting the 2006 season with an ‘Open House’ this Mothering Sunday, 26 March. The Weald & Downland Open Air Museum at Singleton, near Chichester, West Sussex, will be opening its doors to welcome visitors old and new with a special £1 entry offer. In addition, the Museum will continue its long tradition of presenting mothers and grandmothers visiting with their children and grandchildren with a complimentary bunch of daffodils.

The Sustainability Event, Weald & Downland Open Air Museum, 21 May 2006 England’s leading museum of historic buildings will look firmly to the future on Sunday 21 May, when it hosts its fifth annual celebration of sustainability and ‘green’ building technology. The Sustainability Event at the Weald & Downland Open Air Museum at Singleton, near Chichester, West Sussex, will focus on exciting developments in modern building methods, materials and techniques, as well as examining other areas of sustainability such as alternative energy sources and efficiency, recycling and sustainable water use.
