Jennifer Winters, Interpretation and Community Engagement Officer for Valley of Visions said: “We have a fantastic range of free events and talks on offer this summer. Ranging from water vole discovery days and walks on the North Downs to historical walks around Cuxton & Snodland and learning the art of flint knapping, there is something for everyone. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the rich wildlife and heritage of the Medway Gap from local experts. So why not pick up our events & talks leaflet or visit our website to find out more and book onto an event or talk”.

As well as joining in on an event or talk, there are many opportunities for local people to get involved with Valley of Visions such as volunteering opportunities, Medway Memories oral history project, photography competition, free training and many other projects.

Valley of Visions Landscape Partnership Scheme is a complex programme that aims to conserve and enhance the Medway Gap’s heritage landscapes and biodiversity, to improve physical and intellectual access to the area and to engage local landowners, communities and visitors to be involved. The £2.4 million project, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and being led by the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), is working with existing wildlife conservation bodies, countryside management organisations, heritage and community groups to deliver a host of exciting projects.
