Garden Moths Count, from the 21st June to 6th July, is on its way... an exciting nationwide survey to discover which amazing moths live in our gardens.
Anyone can take part, old or young, using very simple methods to attract moths and then telling us through our website which ones you find – www.mothscount.org. You don’t need to be an expert!

Visitors to England’s leading museum of historic buildings and traditional rural life will be able to enjoy a special musical picnic on Sunday 29 June, as part of the region’s architecture08 event. Families and individuals are invited to bring a picnic to the Museum’s spectacular Downland Gridshell conservation workshop, and enjoy two performances of ‘Gridshell Symphonies’, a specially commissioned piece of music by composer Peter Copley that emulates the building’s grandeur and innovative use of traditional techniques

Four legs, furry legs, fluffy legs, feathered legs…come and get up close to over 500 cattle, sheep, pigs, goats and poultry at the Rare and Traditional Breeds Show this summer at the Weald & Downland Open Air Museum at Singleton, near Chichester, West Sussex. This delightful annual agricultural show for rare and traditional breeds of farm animals takes place on Sunday 20 July, is one of the biggest and most popular shows of its kind in the South East.
