New service launches Hickstead’s 50th year
A news and information service along with a brand new online facility, with give-away prizes galore, will launch Hickstead’s celebrations of its half-century of service to showjumping and equestrian sport.
The showground, brainchild of the late Douglas Bunn and now managed by the Bunn family, is acknowledged as the world’s leading permanent outdoor equestrian venue. It hosts the country’s two leading outdoor shows, the British Jumping Derby Meeting and the Longines Royal International Horse Show and has recently branched out to introduce arena polo at its All England Polo Club.
Now, to utilise the ground’s exceptional facilities, Hickstead runs an exclusive, year-round party, weddings and events programme as well.
The new service, which will spearhead a steady advance into the digital age, will operate from the Hickstead website, www.hickstead.co.uk, and provide year-round information on everything happening at the Sussex venue. As well as this, the new user-friendly online service will allow everyone from exhibitors and spectators to competitors and the press, to conduct the majority of their business, quickly and efficiently online.
All online members will be in full control of what they receive from Hickstead, making sure that they receive only the information they really want. New online members will be entered into a prize draw where they can win a pair of annual memberships every month until August, which as well as giving entry to Hickstead’sthe exclusive members viewing area and restaurant provides reciprocal facilities at Cowdray Polo Club, 12 racecourse and the Lords and Sussex County cricket grounds.
