PASSPORT TO GREAT GARDENS OF SUSSEX LAUNCHED
VISIT FOUR OF THE GARDENS AND ENJOY THE FIFTH, FREE OF CHARGE
Enjoy a free visit to one of the beautiful gardens of Sussex when you use a Passport from Great Gardens of Sussex.
Great Gardens of Sussex, a partnership of five of the most magnificent and historically important gardens in the country is launching a great offer - a Passport for all visitors. Visit four of the gardens and enjoy visiting the fifth garden completely free of charge.
The five gardens participating in the Passport are Leonardslee, High Beeches Gardens, Wakehurst, Borde Hill and Nymans. As many visitors are members of the National Trust and can therefore visit Nymans and Wakehurst free of charge, this is a particularly attractive offer as it means that they only have to pay to visit two of the five gardens.
Visitors can pick up a Passport from any of the participating gardens and need to ensure that it is stamped by each garden that they visit. The Passport is valid until the end of October 2010. Alternatively a copy of the Passport may be printed from www.greatgardensofsussex.com
The Great Gardens of Sussex are within fifteen minutes drive of each other in mid Sussex and together offer a uniquely rich and varied choice of gardens. All are full of rare and fascinating plants and are linked by history and family connections.
As Eleni Clarke of Borde Hill says; “We are lucky to have five exceptional gardens close together in mid-Sussex. The passport offers everyone the chance to enjoy visiting these varied and beautiful gardens, at a very good price. “
Leonardslee possesses an amazing collection of Rhododendrons, Azaleas, Magnolias and Camellias as well wallabies, vintage cars and the world’s largest doll’s house display.
High Beeches Gardens is a beautiful and historic woodland and water garden with many rare plants and a lovely wildflower meadow. For peace and tranquillity there is nowhere better.
Wakehurst is Kew’s country garden with year round interest and a stunning collection of plants from around the globe as well as the internationally renowned Millennium Seed Bank.
Borde Hill is a most romantic English garden with many intimate ‘living garden rooms’, including glorious Rose and Italian gardens, magnificent parkland, fine lakes and woodland.
Nyman’s is renowned for atmosphere and beauty as well as rare and important plants, parkland walks, lakes and woodland, herbaceous borders, ruins and temples.
Please note that free entry using the Passport excludes special event days.
