Winter Week at the Weald and Downland

Put on your winter woollies this half term and come to the beautiful site in the heart of the South Downs National Park. Enjoy a week of creative activities and countryside skills, with lots of hands-on activities to interest children of all ages

You can also explore all of the Museum’s historic houses, and visit the seventeenth century watermill where you can buy a bag of grain for the hungry ducks on the millpond! Look out for the working Shire horses and cattle, and the traditional breed farm animals including sheep, pigs, chickens and geese. Activities vary every day and will include:

* Rag-rugging * Scavenger hunt
* Watch the blacksmith at work * Make a cake for the birds
* Candle making & brass rubbing * Make a welly peg
* Make a sign for your door * Corn dolly making

Most activities are under cover, and run from 11am – 3pm, Museum closes at 4pm. The lakeside café will be open, plus there are indoor and outdoor picnic areas. Dogs on leads are welcome, lots of free parking.

PLEASE WEAR CLOTHES SUITABLE FOR PLAYING OUTDOORS.

CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT
