PASSPORT TO GREAT GARDENS OF SUSSEX LAUNCHED

VISIT THREE OF THE GARDENS AND ENJOY THE FOURTH, FREE OF CHARGE

Enjoy a free visit to one of the beautiful gardens of Sussex when you use a Passport from Great Gardens of Sussex.

Great Gardens of Sussex, a partnership of four of the most magnificent and historically important gardens in the country is making a great offer for 2010. Visit three of the gardens and enjoy visiting the fourth garden completely free of charge. To take up the offer you just have to use a Great Gardens of Sussex Passport.

The four gardens participating in the offer are Wakehurst, High Beeches, Borde Hill and Nymans. As many visitors are members of the National Trust and can therefore visit Nymans and Wakehurst free of charge, this is a particularly attractive offer as it means that they only have to pay to visit one of the four gardens.

Visitors can pick up a great Gardens of Sussex Passport free of charge from any of the participating gardens. The Passport must be stamped at the ticket office of each garden that they visit. Alternatively a copy of the Passport may be printed from www.greatgardensofsussex.com. The Passport offer is valid until December 2010 but please not that Borde Hill and High Beeches close for the season in the autumn.

All the gardens in Great Gardens of Sussex are within fifteen minutes drive of each other in mid Sussex and together they offer a uniquely rich and varied choice of gardens. All are full of rare and fascinating plants and are linked by history and family connections.

As David Hardman of Wakehurst says; “We are lucky to have four exceptional gardens close together in mid-Sussex. The Great Gardens of Sussex Passport offers everyone the chance to enjoy visiting these beautiful gardens, at an exceptionally attractive price. “

High Beeches Gardens is a beautiful and historic woodland and water garden with many rare plants and a lovely wildflower meadow. For peace and tranquillity there is nowhere better.

Wakehurst is Kew’s country garden with year round interest and a stunning collection of plants from around the globe as well as the internationally renowned Millennium Seed Bank.

Borde Hill is a most romantic English garden with many intimate ‘living garden rooms’, including glorious Rose and Italian gardens, magnificent parkland, fine lakes and woodland.

Nymans is renowned for atmosphere and beauty as well as rare and important plants, parkland walks, lakes and woodland, herbaceous borders, ruins and temples.

Please note that free entry using the Passport excludes special event days.
