Shipbourne Farmers’ Market in the money as it launches its own currency

Shipbourne Farmers’ Market is launching a creative solution to one of the major problems that shoppers face at rural Farmers’ Markets: lack of cash machines. This Thursday will see the release of the Shipbourne Farmers’ Market Pound. Customers will be able to buy both £2 and £5 notes from the pub next door, the Chaser Inn, using their credit or debit card, and then use them just like cash at any of the market stalls.
