Welcome to High Adventure a fully recognised and registered British Paragliding and Hang gliding Association school that is celebrating 25 years of quality Paragliding tuition.

We have been teaching hang-gliding since 1981 and were the first UK hang gliding school to teach paragliding in the late 80s. Many of the teaching techniques adopted by other schools today, were developed by us.

We have a team of 6 dedicated instructors who teach paragliding to all levels. Each instructor has a wealth of experience to offer new pilots and all are qualified and licensed by the British Hang-gliding and Paragliding Association ("BHPA").

The Isle of Wight is uniquely situated 4 miles from the South Coast but within easy reach of London (11/2 - 2 hours) and the home counties. The narrow strip of water that surrounds the Island acts as a buffer against the fast running tide of mainland hustle and bustle; the pace of life is slower but the flying activity is intense!

Being in the "deep South", the Isle of Wight often escapes the worst effects of low pressure systems so providing a large number of flyable days for paragliding tuition. Our location ensures constant summer sea-breezes which provide smooth flying conditions that are essential for rapid and easy learning of basic paragliding skills. Couple this with access to over a dozen flying sites which cater for all wind directions and the advantages of this lovely island become clear.
