Description:

Wight Orienteers ( WightO ) has been active since 1976. We have 80+ members from age 1 to 90 ( well almost! ). We organise orienteering events on the Isle of Wight. That’s the diamond shaped island off the south coast of England.

We may be one of the smallest clubs in the UK. But we put on events for 10 months of the year, plus other events such as Relays, Quiz Walks and NightOs.

We meet on Sunday mornings, once a month. Our courses cover the forests of the Island, a mixture of oak, beech and conifer ( with brambles thrown in! )

We also use the Island’s spectacular Downland. Some stiff climbs, but rewarded by magnificent views over the Solent and the English Channel.
