Joss Bay is a family favorite and once visited always returned to. Our priority is to provide you with a safe and enjoyable environment. The beach is comprised of sand and is closed in at high tide by the ocean, ensuring that with only one way on and off the bay, no pubs in close proximity and our three trained lifeguards, it maintains a safe and friendly environment for all. Joss is classed as a rural bay and is situated below the famous North Foreland Lighthouse which was the last Lighthouse in England to be automated, so hopefully easy to find! There is a large car park above the bay (pay and display) offering easy and safe access to the beach and even free parking in the road if you get here early enough. Together with modernized stainless steel toilets (including disabled), access slope and the facilities you can see on this site you really couldn't ask for more

We can provide surfing courses for beginners either on a one to one basis or group lessons - max 8 persons per group. Pre book one by contacting us for availability by email or call 07812 991195. Courses will be led by our BSA (British Surfing Association) instructor. Refresher courses are also available.
