How long does it take to walk?
All the walks featured on this site give an estimated time for completion based on the average person. If you are planning your own walks, you can generally allow for around 5 kilometres, or just over 3 miles an hour. Allow longer if you are carrying heavy bags or climbing uphills! It is always better to allow yourself plenty of time to take in the scenery and to stop when you feel like it.
