Walks in Kent - Faversham

BackBack

Route Overview This walk starts near Stonebridge Pond once the heart of the nation’s gunpowder industry. As you follow the course of Faversham Creek it’s hard to believe that the area was formerly one of England’s leading export ports in the Middle Ages. After a stroll across the marshes, the final section of the walk takes you past Davington Priory which is over 850 years old. Faversham is rich in history and the rest of the town is within easy reach from the end of the walk.
