| Terrain Details | Just under a mile of the walk is along a road, and parts of the route can be muddy. Stout shoes, boots or wellingtons with grips are recommended. | ||||||
| Access Info / Public Transport | Buses run between Guildford and Hindhead via Godalming, Chiddingfold and Haslemere (number 71 provided by Stagecoach Hants&Surrey). Get off at the Crown Inn bus stop on Chiddingfold village green. Alternatively, Buses 42/44 (provided by Arriva) run between Guildford and Cranleigh, stopping in Dunsfold. Get off at The Sun Inn or Win Hall bus stop on Dunsfold Common Road, walk past the Sun Inn on your right and turn right along Oak Tree Lane. Pass pond on your left and keep ahead along Mill Lane, then continue ahead through woods to reach the Mill House at point 6. Keep ahead up track to start the walk. Parking: Chiddingfold village green. | ||||||
| Services / Amenities | The Crown Inn is on Chiddingfold green and the Swan pub is 70 metres south along the Petworth Road. There is also a convenience store on the green. If you wish to detour into Dunsfold from point 6, The Sun Inn is on the green. | ||||||
